The Towers is a 180,000 square foot residence hall on the corner of West 130th St, and St. Nicholas Avenue overlooking St. Nicholas Park. The building contains 164 fully furnished apartments primarily for students enrolled at the City College of New York.

40% of those apartments are 2 bedroom doubles. 32% are 4 bedroom singles. The rest are studios, 1 bedroom doubles, or 3 bedroom, single/double. Apparently, the better apartments are the 4 bedroom singles for those who are willing to pay more for it. Each apartment is furnished with heat/air conditioning units in each room, a kitchenette (with microwave, 2 burner electric cooktop, refrigerator), at least one bathroom, internet, basic cable tv, local telephone, and furniture (beds, dressers, desks, sofas, tables, chairs).

The dorm was developed by Capstone Development Corp, and built by Turner Construction, the general contractor. Construction on the building took approximately 14 months to build. Financing was provided by bonds issued by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, and built on land leased by DASNY. The dormitory is currently run by Educational Housing Services, and will be transferred to CCNY once the bonds have been repaid.
